Alright yall I have a ps3 with code: CECH-2501B Who can go all the way down to 3.40(I'll show you how I know this.) which is currently at 4.31ofw

The only problem I think I'm having is I'm confused roflol. Since I know I can downgrade (I double checked with minverchecker)

I was wondering what would be the easiest way to downgrade.

Would the E3 flasher be better for noobs?(I'll admit I am one)

also when I get to the step"Wrong you need these tools before you even think about following a guide
" part I go part one "NAND or NOR Programmer" would E3 flasher be just one of them? are those options?

so does that mean I don't need to solder? if so I'm sticking with E3 since I don't have a soder gun nor any knowledge on how to.


I know LOTS of questions but I wanna try to mod my PS3, been trying to and this is the first tutorial I think is right. If any help I modded psp(I made Pandora battery haha) And I'm a C++ programmer. Other than that no knowledge what so ever.

find your model there and see if its nand or nor, more then likely its a NOR. then follow the guide for that model

use google to search for E3 downgrade kit, thats not hard >_<

You have a NOR PS3
So E3 and Progskeet and tenisy work for you;
if you have soldering skills i suggest using the Progskeet V1.1 if you can find one, since V1.2 has a lot of issues. So your best option for Now is the E3.
and do not forget to buy the Downgrade Dongle, if you have PSP1000 you can use it instead of the Downgrade dongle

All slims are NOR, Progskeet 1.00 is my best friend to downgrade people's consoles.

I have psp1000 2000 and 3000 ALL of which I modded(hard mod, hard mod, softmod) I'll use that for downgrade dongle. LOL cheaper(**** much cheaper)

Now if I dont purchase the downgrade dongle would I have to buy:

E3 Nor Flasher - Downgrader

or

E3 Flasher NOR Clip Suit




The E3 flasher NOR clip suit is cheaper. (by like 50 bucks)

I believe you still need the flasher kit as the downgrader is just what it sounds like, a downgrader ^_^

The flasher is what sets it up to be able to downgrade, from what I understand of that process

I have the one in the Middle.
if you just looking for just downgrading then the Pic in the Middle is your option.
if you are looking for Dual boot the third one is yous option.
for The PSP to be used as Downgrade Dongle, you Need: PSP1000 + CFW 5.50 GEN + PS3Jig application :-)

Not sure which, could always start thread asking which kit to purchase. My ps3 is a original phat, and I stopped updateing my console when I was at 3.41 and first heard of jailbreak. Then 3.55 got cracked wide open and updated to that, then cfw.

Maybe @Sarah1331 can help ya decide, I've noticed she is pretty knowledgeable on that stuff ^_^
