Model = CECH-25xx (JTP-001) with 3.40 from factory or (JSD-001) with 3.41 from factory
datecode = 0C
Minimum praxis = 3.40
HDD = TOSHIBA MK3265GSX H

Make some more dumps and compare with HxD, to make sure they are identical. Then you are ready to continue with the guide.

I have a 2nd dump and it looks the same (bootldr, etc.)
Solderkit arrived, going to read some more about soldering and gonna give it a try tomorrow . Fingers crossed.

Use HxD hex editor. Under the analysis tab, choose file compare.
Make a couple more dumps and if that says they are identical, you are ready to flash.

Hmm, this is weird. Compared both dumps and they are 99.9% the same but 1 code is diffrent. On offset 00090D0 there is a F7 instead of a 85 or the other way arround.
So my primary goal now should be to solder the wire so my ps3 stays powered on. Would I be able to make a new dump then, even when I would not have any video (heard that with soldering you cant see any main menu when you failed to flash your bios)?

Yeah, best thing would be to get the wire soldered. Then you can make dumps and compare to make sure the clip is secured.

my slim ps3 was upgraded to ofw 3.70 from cfw3.55 but i have read that if i downgrade it to 3.55 with the e3-flasher, i will not be able to install any cfw because the ps3 will brick so am wondering if there has been any changes to this fact thanx.

E3 flasher will work on any NOR ps3's

But 300x Series console cannot be downgraded

By following my guide, you will be able to instal any CFW. Hence the title of the guide.
