I agree with you, Sony has been very sloppy this gen and not impressed at all.
Do yourself a favour buddy invest in a PC if you can. BF3 on it is insane.

i'm from portugal and my ps3 is on 4.21CFW ROGERO and at 19:00 in my local hour i login my ps3 and no problem found and not banned. A lots of homebrew in my xmb and i'm not using MM stealth, and i have played backups online last week. so now is better to stay offline for a couple of days to see what happens next. cheers to everyone and MERRY CHRISTMAS FOR ALL PS3HAX STAFF AND USERS

I think this most recent banwave is most definitely from BO2. It's the only thing I've done. I don't go online otherwise and it's been a while since I've done that. It's ironic they were running checks and then stopped and then suddenly stopped then everybody is served with a ban. I don't believe in coincidences.

I bought the PS3 instead of XBOX for 2 reasons only: 1) XBOX Live costs money and Sony's PSN Doesn't 2) At the time XBOX didn't have built-in WiFi, native HDMI Port, or Bluetooth. 3) XBOX, at the time, used to be very loud, like a friggin jet engine, wheras PS3 Slim fan is very quiet. So I bought the PS3. It seemed like a fairly even match otherwise (the graphics, games, etc).

Next time, the PS4 will be an AMD A10, which is almost certainly less powerful than the XBOX 720 spec. Leaning towards buying the XBOX 720. Both platform may start off being very locked down, at least for a while initially. What's there more to say? Don't like Sony, but can't agree either that Microsoft should charge for their Live service. My only longstanding reservation against M$. There is really no other alternative, until we can get a Steam Console / Alienware Console (XBOX Form-Factor). And when PC games ditch the keyboard+mouse in favor of gamepads... which still seems live never, many years on down the road, when I wanted that to happen with the original XBOX. Talk about anti-climax and dundering technology.

PS3+PlayTV+CFW is still the best practical solution for me, even today, and even with all these ban waves etc. Ah well. Maybe I won't but the new XBOX720 next year. Give it a year more and perhaps the PC-Console will emerge as a true contender. But only if those folks get their act together in time.

I have a gaming PC. I love it. I've been leaning more towards that recently anyways. And $ony is pushing people more towards gaming PC's. I don't recall a company souring on so many fans the way $ony has this generation.

I think we all realised it was coming, I'm not concerned tbh but at the time of speaking I'm still searching the playstation store with absolutely no issues at all, in an hour, who knows...

removal of bc = who plays ps2 games? If it makes it cheaper why not?

I didn't mention they brought us PS2 classics so you can repurchase all those games you most likely own. They've ignored requests, The inconsistency with the PS Store and the only reason they've finally given us an answer to cross chat is because the vita was announced to have it.

The 720 will likely be superior if the rumors are true, sounds like the 720 will have 8gb and the ps4 4gb. Ram today is cheap and can do so much for you.

Look at what a measly 256mb extra has done for the 360.
