I still stand by what I said about you and flashing, as if you do not understand what the folder called 'PS3_UPDATE' on a PS3 disc may contain then you DO have a good chance of buggering the flash up

even sony tell you that you can update from a game disc and common sense dictates that latest version will supercede all others on attached media

I had a disc in mine while going to 3.55, luckily though when it went through the game was 3.50 so was still safe

I would get the Downgrader. (or so I hear) If you don't have it already and you don't want to dual boot best bet.
