A lot of us grew up playing with controllers not dissimilar to the ps3's, and in some cases practically identical (psx, ps2) so it feels familiar but it doesn't suit the needs of players that put in long sessions or players of fps, the wii-U remote is a doppelgänger of the Xbox controller because it's 'almost' the perfect for comfort and recessed analogues make a huge difference for eliminating slips.

I wouldn't know about that, I mean, PS3 DualShock 3 plastic feels very fragile and like it can break easily. I tried twisting and if I tried harder it would.

I beg to differ

The original PS3 Sixaxis controllers, (no dualshock) when hitting a wall used to have the triggers R1/R2/L1/L2 buttons snap out the easiest, harder hits would usually snap the plastic at the back where you hold it would usually break aswell

The newer, dualshock controllers, held out better where you hold it due to a slight strength improvement where the vibrators are. So the stronger vibrators helped strengthen the controller, but the problem with the triggers and back panels still exist.

The PS2 controllers were stronger all around and took a lot more hits before breaking.

I've thrown many controllers before :-P

I say its better, It fits very well in my hands.
But the small battery lats like 10-15 hours at most.
Maybe someone can make a controller mod so we can easily remove the battery and replace it.

Here's the one I got. Power A wireless PS3 controller. It handles with the same comfort of an Xbox 360 controller. The buttons are very responsive and the trigger buttons don't suck the way an original PS3 controller's does. It has 6-axis and vibration and it's real comfortable to hold for long periods. When I'm busy smashing fools in Black OPs 2, this is the controller I use.

I have no issues with the charge at all, in fact I think it's very reasonable, but I have to disagree that most gamers prefer the ps3 controller, tbh just reading the replies here on a site predominantly made up of ps3 users speaks volumes for the popularity of the xbox controller.

Can either of us prove it one way or the other? Of course not.
