i can do that but i have to install every thing that way, xmb or recovery menu doesnt work no matter what i do i just tried that on 3.55 ofw then xmb or recovery menu still say the same

gotta be better than being stuck on ofw 3.56+ without a flasher or having an unhackable console i.e 3k 4k models. I know it's ball ache mate but it's safe and you better off than most people wanting a cfw. It's also a good reason to get yourself settled on a cfw that will keep you happy.

i was stuck on the downgrade pup one time. on accident i turn my ps3 off b4 the install was done. swapped the hdd and the formatted the new one, reinstalled the downgrade pup and fixed it so far. swapping the hdd may help you.
