Shame it's more of a rental service than anything else, albeit a reasonably priced one.

mortal kombat is this months free retail yeah.
sure its rental but it saves me a hell of a lot of money as i would have only traded the game in when done anyway losing cash quickly.

games are removed every month too but as long as you back them up to pc or simply dont delete them then they stay there. they are only removed as free from the store and theres a 25% off ps+ at the moment too

in a year or so, the games will be cheap as f*ck to buy off ebay anyway if i want to own the cart

Hmm, lucky me I have a ps plus free membership not sure how long though. I think two months. I never used it yet . By the way thanks japsander. I saw the freaking memory sticks cost a ton!

That's a damn good point actually, I never thought of that.

I think if you have a Vita, PS+ makes so much sense, but not as much with just the PS3. If like me, you buy few games but play them forever then getting a hard copy makes more sense imo. I don't just play and finish a game, I take my sweet ass time! Then once I've had my fun, I look to mod it!

I don't wanna spend money on the PSN store because it's a matter of time before the servers go offline and you can't re-activate your purchases. Although I've bought lots of games on Steam because if I upgrade my PC, it'll still work (and they're less likely to go bankrupt), whereas I'm not sure all my purchases will work on a PS4 or for how long

I really want an original Wii for the homebrew etc, and to complete my collection for this gen. Apart from that I'm not planning on buying a new console for a LONG time.. Used wins!

Same here, unless there's a game I'm incredibly compelled to play and I must play it. The only reason I bought an Xbox 360 for was to play Left 4 Dead online. If I had a good computer or the PS3 had the game, I wouldn't have even bothered with the console.
