This last shooting was the parents fault who the H3LL leaves an assault rife around there house not in a gun safe or under lock and key? Especially with a mentally disturbed kid at home... Its ridiculous to blame it on the video games, or the gun.. That is pure stupidity on that kids parents!!

Even if all guns were banned, the people who really wanted to get a gun could (just look at how many drugs got into the states illegally). So, you would have a bunch of criminals and psychos with guns.

We always see all of these ridiculous court ruling in the States and loose more and more freedoms each day, why in the world do you want to see more freedoms taken away? Stop letting the government take stuff away.

Most of the crap that happens overseas is because we always only have two people to choose from for every election democrat or republican... Both are crap these days and both have there own agendas that everyday people have nothing to do with.. we are told that everyone has a voice in government but really we don't and most of the retarded stuff that happens.

We have no right to be overseas everywhere in the world, if the government would bring back all the troops everywhere in the world there would be enough troops to put a troop in every school.. Now you tell me who is going to go shoot up a school when there is trained soldier in every school?

To the point of the shooting, yes, i find the stories of these kids extremely unsettling, since i have kids that age - and a senseless act like this will destroy me. And for politicians to feed on this for their own gain disgust me.

Violence begets violence. Are people that misguided in thinking that a gun will protect you? You are a target in a 360 degree view. If someone wants to kill you, your gun is not a force field of protection. The safety of you and your family is but on the luck of the draw. We spend so much time living in fear that we forgot how to really live free. Love has left the building and compassion walked away, shaking it's head.

Why would it take 20 children to die in one setting in order for us to start talking about gun control? In the inner cities, children have been the innocent bystanders of bullets for years. want proof? take a look in Chicago, Atlanta, Memphis, Dallas, south central LA, NYC, etc. My cousin was shot and killed by a boy who felt 20 bullets for a uzi was enough because he felt disrespected that my cousin bumped into him at the club even after my cousin apologized to him. We don't need more gun control laws. There are just some guns that private owners do not need nor should be sold in gun stores.

Granted the government has more fire power and way better technology than the average citizen, but the first American revolution was based on the same situation, Over taxing and no personal rights. Anyone that doesn't live in the US should have no comment on the way my country is run by the government.

No, actually the ignorant thing in all this is that a lot of people, you included it seems (and NO insult intended there), cannot grasp the subject content.

This is Not about knives etc, it is about guns and limiting the deaths they can cause in the hands of an idiot.

I can kill someone with a marshmallow if I wanted to, but that does not mean it is a weapon.

A gun IS a weapon first and foremost. One bullet to your head will most likely kill you.

A knife is a tool first and foremost. One cut/stab/thrust to your head will most likely not kill you.

Ban guns full stop, and ban knives on the street. Simple solutions for both situations if, and I DO mean IF, they are enforced across the board.

It will never happen though as we get off on being in control and like the power a gun or a knife gives us over someone else
