Hollywood Studios Caught Pirating

Quite interesting to see those who pushing and bribing laws to punish the rest of us for pirating movies games etc, they themselves are doing it too.

But as always let us not forget the meaning of piracy, it's stealing property and THEN profiting from it. Those the MPAA like to call pirates, do not profit, and hence should not be called pirates.
But remember that the music industry in particular do profit from their piracy.

I thought the definition of stealing was to claim/remove property without permission... When filesharing thats not whats happening. If some1 gave you a free sandwhich and everything was fine & edible would you not take said sandwhich and share it if others wanted a bite too? Now imagine that some1 paid for that sandwhich instead of stealing it when giving it to u.. I don't see anything wrong with that but if said sandwhich was stolen to begin with uh oh... Then it becomes "hot" property in which case the person who gave the sandwhich should b punished. However, piracy is defined here as some1 who engages in 2. The unauthorized use or reproduction of copyrighted or patented material: software piracy. Clearly illegal but i mean if you paid 4 something and decide to share it... I don't see why you shouldnt b able too

None of this makes sense to me, if you stole a sandwich someone would go hungry.
If you where a magician and studied someone else`s sandwich and then magicly made a replica, NOBODY starves..... personally i could not give a flying f**k about the law, the ethical question is much more interesting

I don't know about your idea of piracy. If you take something without paying, you've stolen money from somebody's pocket. It's not surprising news. Those that make laws are usually breaking the ones they are making, or have broken them at some point.

Substitute sandwhich with digital software and hopefully it should be more clearer 4 u. Im saying that you can't equate software piracy with stealing, nothing is being removed.... Redistributed without authorization, yes but if some1 has paid for the software they are initially redistributing I don't see why they shouldn't b able 2 do it.

Doesn't mean something isn't missing, like the money that should have gone to the people that made it. It's not as direct as mugging people, but you've stolen money by not paying.

What you should say is the product is being used w/o being paid 4 and although thats true it goes back 2 what people can/cannot due with what they've paid 4. I'd say its 1 thing if you break into some1ns computer and removed files from there hdd but fileSHARING being outlawed? Especially if that sharing involves making copies where 1 can keep what they want and let others enjoy, I cant see why people think that copyright owners are entitled to a person's money just bcause they put out a product.... Its the equivalent of not pirating and simply choosing not 2 pay 4 a product @ all.
