Hello guys,

I downgraded my Ps3 and installed Rogero 4.30 in it.

I now want to know what are the must haves in the scene at the moment ?

I feel like I did not get much from downgrading besides the ability to run backups which I did not even try yet, as it isn't my main priority.

I wanted my ps3 to be more functional

Emulators are cool of you like that sorda thing. Codeunique is cool for activating cheats if you want to have fun blowing thru some games(only on 3.55 cfw.). Most definetly showtime for all your media needs. Tons more to do, but they slip mind, as I just got home from work.

I will take a look at some Emus, I searched on youtube already to see if I find any homebrews that actually turn my Ps3 into something else than a gaming console, but so far only Showtime seems to be it.

I might be wrong tho and find myself in the future having loads of fun with my cfw ps3, sadly it did not happen yet.

Well, what kinds of thing are you wanting out of it? The ps3 on cfw gives you an awesome gaining console with both the ability to play almost all old system games thru emulation, and also backups of your ps3 games off hard drive. Then as a media server, thru showtime....it allows you to play any kind of video, audio, etc. of a hard drive. Other than that, there some programs that allow you to cheat as I listed above, transfer content to and from via FTP, manage all files via comgenie file manager. There are more in depth programs that allow different features to be enabled or disabled, but they aren't necessarily for the novice user. Then there is other OS capability like linux and such. Hell of a lot cooler than an ofw console.

Just tried Blackbox FTP on rogero 4.30, its not working im getting an error.

Is there a good ftp for the ps3 working on rogero 4.30 ?

mutiman has got ftp built in or open ps3 ftp is stand alone app check here for apps etc signed for higher fw there is also blackbox too ,

scroll down to 4.2x CFW they should work on 4.30

I just tried Showtime I get an Error as well, downloaded the v4 from the website.

Error: 800010017

Seems like 4.30 aint the fw to go with ?
