So heres the issue, I have a PS3 slim that I bricked after using the e3 flasher. After this my PS3 would only stay on for 3 seconds and then shut off. Last night after getting some advice that I needed to solder a wire from sbe to tristate, I went ahead and did just that. Now my PS3 will turn on again and stay on, but only in flash fun mode on the tf cover board. I was told that possibly by soldering a wire from sbe to tristate that I might be able to get the Backup I need. But for the life of me, I can't figure out how to get the file to write to the micro sd card... So my question is how can I do this? Is there a switch setting on the tf cover board that I dont know about that might work? Or is there something else I can do... Thanks, Bman
P.S. I don't have a backup, thats why I'm going to all this trouble, I was told that possibly because I didn't have the e3 clip seated properly that maybe, I would still be able to get some of the backup and that it might not be all gone. |

I'm not sure, I'm at work... When I get home today I will try pugging it in to my tv. If it has a black screen is that a good or bad thing? Thanks, Bman |

So you tested it at work, without it plugged into a TV (no TVs at work yeah?). Light on the PS3 went green and no RLOD / YLOD .. hence you've stated 'it stays on' - this is my assumption, correct?
So when you get home, fire your PS3 up plugged into your TV and IF you get video output / menu's blah blah, we have some hope - that is to say good memory data somewhere that is flashable! If NOT then...

settings for e3 should be 001000 for backup
the wire from tristate to sbe is to keep the console turned on (if bricked) u say it was bricked, how did u brick it if u didnt have a backup to start with? and on the e3flasher u are best to have the older samsung update on it ************* [ - Post Merged - ] ************* first update e3 with old samsung update(multiple console) switches set to 001000 (backup) power on ps3 press start on e3 after 8 minutes u should have a backup if the clip is seated good if u have any errors then reseat the clip and try again |
