He took it back apart and re clipped the clip. Now it is turning on green led, with all the lights on the flasher lit up. It stays that way for 5-10 seconds, and then shuts off completely with no led. Then he can press the power button and the red led will come back on. It is like the power supply is completely shutting off, not even giving the red led power after he tries to turn it on.

if that was the case then pressing the power button would not bring the red led back to life.
there where more posts with symptoms like this, all flash related if you ask me.

@mattg99999 , the blinking blue light was that from the ps3?
probably not, because that one is only blinking if you insert a disc?

Yeah the blue light blinking is the disc light. Almost like it thinks it has a disc in the drive or something, but the disc drive isn't even hooked up.

@Bigbones87 , do you know if he tried to flash it, or is it possible that the flasher was not installed correctly?

to me it sound like it's bricked, anyway it's going wrong somewhere in the boot process.

Have you tried to flash it with a patched backup or did you not even manage to get a backup? If you did get a back up did you get it verified?

I personally believe you have damaged the nor chip legs. Their is a pic on the ps3devwiki of a damaged nor. Please have a look over at the wiki and have a good close look at your nor legs and see if they look the same as a damaged nor displayed at the wiki. It's just my opinion so don't take it for granted. But I think you might have applied pressure on the clip when not seated properly. Hopefully I'm wrong but please check that out.
