i dont have a cech30xx ps3 to test it
not everythink is relatet to fsm. 3.56+ minimum factory can be hacked without entering fsm (the all point of it is that it get patched and skips some checks ). rogero v2.03 can be installed directly afte the patch is applied.

we can alredy downgrade from 4.31 (only 3.56 min factory are not)

you can "downgrade" so to speak any mtldr1 console direct to 4.30v2 rogero (yes that includes 3.60 min firmware) as you dont need to go to 3.55 now with rogero's 4.30 v2 cfw

but has he found a way around mtldr2
or is it to do with same for same fw revision?

i doubt the peek and poke works though but time will tell

it will be a while before i can build some funds up to buy a 3000 / 4000 console to test this but as you need to have a validated dump before trying then you can allways re-flash if it bricks.

erm you install rogero4.30v2 IN fsm
the patches that are for downgrading to 3.55 are the exact same patches you use to go to 4.30v2
and so the way you do it is the same ie fsm firmware install.

you just dont need to de-hash as the latest firmware is 4.30 the same as the cfw so the syscon is the same (no dehashing)

nope
the syscon checks are the same so no de-hashing when you go from any firmware up to 4.30 to 4.30cfw

ie if you have 3.55ofw and you update to 4.30ofw you dont de-hash as this is the normal way to update the ps3

same for all ofw's up to 4.11 being updated to 4.30ofw

so if you have a firmware upto 4.30ofw on your ps3 (that has mtldr1 dont forget that)
and you patch it as if your going to downgrade
but use rogero4.30v2 then you havent downgraded so the syscon is expecting whatever firmware you had on or a higher firmware

if you put a lower firmware on then it would need de-hashing to reset the syscon to the 3.55 firmware

so
"downgrade" your current firmware to a lower firmware = de-hash
"downgrade" to the same or higher firmware = no de-hashing

i have put this as simply as i can so it can be understood better
