Can't open SD door?

So I jsut got my E3 flasher.. installed it. All is perfect, got all the blue lights and what not. So I'm watching a video on how to downgrade, and basically I'm trying to update the e3 flasher.. the thing is I'm trying to pull the left open area on the msd door and it won't open.. I'm scared that If I pull too hard it'll break.. is there something I'm doing wrong?

Slide the door to the right. Then it will swing open.

And don't follow a video. Use the guide below. Or @baileyscream 's guide.

Thanks for the quick reply! So I did the whole bios backup and all 3 are good
Now I know you said don't follow a video but I'm more of a visual guy
so in this video he says to put in the E3 card reader downgrader into the e3 card reader.. would I be able to just put it on a regular USB?..
I'm confused by your steps because You said to
Insert your downgrade dongle in the right USB port.
Plug in power cable or switch back on.
Press POWER then EJECT in that order within a split second. and wait for the PS3 to shut off by itself.
Note-Step 1 and Step 2 folders are inside FACTORY/SERVICE MODE folder from downgrade any pack.
What if I'm using the PSFreedom recover for the HTC Magic 32a?

you didnt use the e3 dump checker did you as that doesnt check to se if the dump is correct it just checks a few headders. so if your per console data is messed up it will say its ok. when you then flash and try to downgrade you then find you have a brick

or if your good at following instructions then follow @playerkp420 's guide
HERE

stop following the video's as you will get next to no support except for ppl saying "thats bricked then" or "told you not to follow a video"

On your guide you say to :

remove the E3 Flasher and re-build your ps3 (if your doing the dual boot then just unplug the clip fron the flasher rebuild the ps3 then reconect the E3 Flasher to the clip inside the hdd port)
Do we HAVE to remove the E3 Flasher? Can't we just go on with the HDD in the Esata station forever.. I just don't want to waste 3 hours again going through the whole console..

No, you can keep the e3 flasher on the console.

the e3 guide should be split into 2
1 guide for just downgrading
1 guide for downgrading and dual booting

they should be seperate guides.
i must have cancelled the changes when i edited the post

if your doing the dual boot then no dont remove the E3

But on player's guide it doesn't say you NEED to take it out... I'm not dual booting, but I think it's just a waste of 2 hours trying to open it again... I want to keep my E3 Flasher in the whole time...

You can keep it in. It won't hurt anything.

If you were gonna leave it in, you should set up fast dual boot.

But if you don't want to solder the wires, you can do half dual boot.

Or you can just leave it. Won't hurt anything.
