A mother in Talladega bought her son a Nintendo 3DS for Christmas, when the son opens his present, he doesn’t find a 3DS, instead he finds rocks and paper.
No this isnt a crule trick by the mother, but rather a scam and Wal-Mart incompetence, here is a quote from the source:

The boy’s mom bought her son a Nintendo gaming system but when the boy opened the box there was no Nintendo. Instead the box was full of rocks wrapped in tissue paper.
The mom bought the Nintendo from a Wal-Mart in Talladega. She explained to the store what happened, and the store gave her a new Nintendo.
“Check your merchandise. Just check it before you leave the store, make sure it’s in there and don’t get home and be surprised, like if you found what I found,” the mom said.

People thought if the item ways the same and wrapped the same who's going to know? They must buy it and take it back. But wouldn't wal-mart be able to track down the person who returned it as a brand new item?

It's like hey, they bought a used system. You should know it might be little different then others. I bought a used psp 3001 them motherf**kers put system skin on the back to hide the damage. Perhaps, the screen was replaced meaning the first one was smashed or broken. I need to replace the screen again because its messed up.
