has youre console ever been opened?
best way to check is if the gurantee label is still on the case
if u cant find it -> left side(in fats but i think on (ultra)-slims there on the left side too)

I take apart ps3 regularly and I never void the warranty sticker.

You could try buying a new HDMI cable, they're super cheap.

On Amazon.co.uk it doesn't even cost £2, it's around £1-ish. Also depends where you live.

I have 4 HDMI cables at home so I dont think that cable is the problem. I tried 3 different TVs and decided to plug into my PC monitor and it worked. When i choose 1080i or 720p screen blinks but when I choose 576p than its ok. I used to play on this PC monitor and as far as i remember it worked normally on 1080p. I think that my hardware is a problem.

Are your cables all the same make? Just wondering as I had couple, one of which was really cheap and that one never worked properly with the ps3 but was fine with things like sky hd & DVD players

Cheap hdmi cables are no good for the ps3, eventually you get screen flickers.
Better off paying for a decent long lasting cable.

I have seen before a PS3 that the HDMI port did not work anymore. Maybe you are having the early signs of the port going bad.
