Child receives pornography filled 3DS for Christmas This is one of the crazier video game related Christmas stories you will hear. Five year old Braydon Giles received a used Nintendo 3DS for Christmas just a few days ago. His parents purchased it for him as an Xmas gift (obviously) from GameStop as a pre-owned console. GameStop’s used console policy is to format each console’s internal memory as soon as they are taken in. This is done behind the counter almost immediately after the used console is traded in. For the Giles family though the GameStop store that they purchased their son’s 3DS at didn’t keep up with this policy. The five year child was having fun with the 3DS’s camera application when he stumbled upon multiple pornographic pictures of a couple in bed. He was startled by this so he showed his older brother who in turn told their father. Naturally the boy’s parents contacted the GameStop they bought the used 3DS at. GameStop being the smart “we know when we ****ed up bad” company they are offered the Giles family a brand new 3DS for free along with some free games. I can tell you from my experience working at GameStop in the past that they try very hard to erase all data on gaming devices as soon as possible but you can’t do it 100% of the time. Whoever made this mistake is likely not employed by GameStop anymore, though we don’t have any word on action taken by the gaming giant.

I wouldn't say this necessarily ruined Christmas... Not only did they get a replacement but it'll be something for them to joke about next year. I mean, at least he got the device. It's not like they denied him a replacement...

Kind of like Taylor Swift. She still got the award, no matter how much she complains about her award ceremony being ruined by Kanye West... She still got it.

Christmas is basically Christmas Day, so opening something up on Christmas Day and finding rocks, would ruin Christmas Day, thus ruing Christmas, regardless of replacements or not, that feeling would be destroyed and that moment would be ruined.

@GregoryRasputin , I see what you're trying to say. Christmas happens once a year and the feeling you get from it can't be replaced in a flash. The kid was most likely sad after getting junk and not the real 3ds. The worst part is, the mother must head to f**king wal-mart and stand in line for maybe 30 to 45 minutes telling all the stupid wal-mart workers she have been scammed because some person bought a 3ds took it out and put junk in to way the same then took it back only for wal-mart to list it for sale again.

In the grand scheme of things this Christmas will likely be the one the kid remembers over all others. Its doubtful this is the one event in his life that will make him into a serial killer. Seriously, if we allow our children to be so weak that something like this could possibly destroy a Christmas then we suck as parents. Something happened beyond the parents control and later they fixed it for Jr. This is the thing he should remember. Mom was there for him.
