i installed the cfw rogero 4.30, going from 3.55 ofw w/ condor updater enabled, had rogero working good, put starhawk in downloaded 4 updates, and then installed updates (i suggest you update games in multiman)went to start the game it started, but previously right when i put rogero on i tried to see if i could play dead island, it worked, then i tryed starting starhawk it loaded but i had to sign up for psn, so i did, got online w/ starhawk and played for about 30 mins online got bored and quit, so then i wanted to play dead island again it did not work, loaded through multiman it went to xmb screen and then tried to start dead island and screen stays black, so i figured i would just put the usb stick back in and try to reinstall rogero 4.30 from system update (storage media), tried gets to 72% progress and says that its corrupted is there anything i can do to downgrade back to ofw, or is there any possible way this can be fixed, can anyone help me w this my contact info downchord @gmail.com

first what rogero version u used ? and reinstalling a firmware never fixes games problems .. and psn thingy is not like u think .. ban hammer began since some weeks

I wouldn't of tried to reinstall a firmware to solve your black screen game. Their has to have been something you have done to dead island to stop it working, it's most definitely not the firmware.

i am new to this had someone jb my ps3 on 3.55 but i did not know if it was ofw or cfw that ps3 was running, so i downloaded ofw 3.55 and installed, then installed rogero, and also i went to blockbuster rented dishonored copy and it worked and now it does not and when it went to install game data before playing it had counted to about 50% progress and then started do you think the drive where the disc is put in may have a problem

you need rogero's 4.21 to 3.55 (it works on 4.30)
this will put you on rogero3.55 v3.7 but spoofed to 9.99fw
you then need QA-flag and de-hash to 3.55
then put rogero 3.55 v3.7 back on

then rogero4.30v2 (use v2)
then multiman
copy your game disc back to the hdd via multiman and update it
games will now work

ok will how can i do that if i cant get to recovery menu and when i install through system update storage media when i tried to just reinstall rogero 4.30 v1.04 over itself, why does it tell me that the data is corrupted i just need alot of info about this i really appreciate it thank you

format your hdd on a pc or another ps3 then it will put you in recovery when you put the hdd back in your ps3

the 4.30 v1 is based on arcade firmware not cex firmware so its linited and buggy
you cannot install it over its self (the reason why you cannot update your hdd when your on it)

the 4.30v2 is based on cex firmware so it is less buggy and can be installed over its self

you need to do a google search to find out the full ins and outs of the cfw's

How can you not get into recovery??? If you have a nor console @condorstrike recovery pkg will get you there. But seriously you should be able to enter manually from the power button combo. No matter what firmware you are on recovery is named that for the obvious reasons (RECOVERY)

condor gives an error when trying to run it and when i try it manually nothing happens turn ps on and off hold the button til you hear one beep and then to consecutive beeps, that does not happen i would sit there holding the button for 5 mins and nothing happen

what do i format the harddrive to, and how do i use the ps3 on the computer, and also i have to ps3 a phat and a slim the phat is the one that is on rogero, does it matter that they are different models and that the slim is updated like a normal ps3 to 4.30 playstions update
