2006 - 2012 We've reached the end of the ride. bitGAMER has been an amazingly fun ride, but all rides must come to an end. For those who don't know, bitGAMER began as a small sister-site of Underground Gamer. What started as a side-project of UG staff members quickly grew into a 65,000 member behemoth with an identity all its own. Our small hobby project turned into something that went well beyond all of our dreams. Of course, you all know that the legal climate has changed over the years, so we won't bore you with that stuff. More importantly, the founders are simply ready to move on with their lives. Running an immensely popular gaming tracker is a rewarding, but it's also a very stressful, and often thankless, task. We hope that closing this door will open other doors in our lives, and that we can take all of the lessons we've learned from bitGAMER into the next phase of our lives. The bitGAMER community has been incredible since the beginning. 1. bitGAMER has closed down. This is not a joke. 2. We tried to find new, trusted owners to carry the torch, but after years of attempts fell though, we had no choice but to close down the site. We wouldn't be willing to transfer sensitive database data to a third-party that we're not well acquainted with. 3. We didn't give advance warning due to the nature of the site. We don't want to give any advance notice in case someone was ready to kick someone's door in at the last minute. 4. If you are a donor, then we greatly appreciate your support that allowed bitGAMER to live a long, successful life in the service of its community. If you donated within the last month, then you can contact an administrator to get a refund. 5. We are shutting down because it's time for us to move on. There are no secret meaning beyond what was posted on the front page. 6. Lastly, thanks again for all of your support over the years. 7 years is a long time for any site to live, especially a site of this nature. We appreciate your support which has allowed us such a long life. Thank you.

Bitgamer is used in this screen shot of the "Halo 4 leak", So it may have been Microsoft who shut them down.

Ya, it was a good forum back in the Dark alex + PSP days. I´m not sure if Xenogears was a non english person or an alien from another planet. his **** never made sense.
another good forum for homebrew was DCemu and that died too.

I wasn't a BG's member for long(just about 2 years), but i still have a fealing that i've lost something important, it's really sad. But whatever the reason is, i hope it was their own decision to close and not some legal issues. Sweet dreams to you BG.

Gutted, i had over 500GB of available up to use after a recent lottery win... Been with the site for over 5 years, RIP BG you`ll be missed
