thats right fsm wont exit on 3.56 and above as you downgrade to 3.55 then you can exit on 3.55

when you solder the progskeet to the ps3 it will halt the ps3 (if you have trist soldered it will always do this. if you dont then its hit and miss that it will halt it) so you wont get the ps3 booting to xmb.

now you say winskeet gives you nothing to flash?
have you selected the correct nor in the drop down tab?
have you done a cfi dump?
what did the cfi dump say?

if your E3 is producing 3 dumps at a time then the E3 has the wrong update on it
follow the downgrade only steps the correct update is in there.

with it being the 3 dump update then this update locks the E3 to the first ps3 you downgraded
putting the other update on unlocks it so you can downgrade any ps3.

if the flasher isnt turning on then you need to re-seat the clip (it may even be on the wrong way around)
once you get power to it than it will update.

if you have power then check you have the switches set as stated in the guide.

also check the file name is correct as shown in the guide (you may have picked the wrong one by mistake)

finaly format your sd card in the pc do a full format then start again.

Thank you very much. I re-seated the clip and then it backed the bios up, however, it still did not show the flashing but it did the job. Thanks again .

Hi again, you guessed right. I managed to get into FSM and istall rogero, but after I tried to get out and put the Lv2diag.self in usb stick. It failed the first time. I tried different Lv2diag.self ( I mean I got another from somewhere else) again it did not leave the fsm. I unpluged it and tried the third time with the Lv2diag.self in the usb, but this time it stopped showing any vedios and I am stuck with no vedio ps3 not knowing what to do. Please save me and tell me what to do.

did you get your dump double checked?

when you enter fsm you wont see anything on screen

you should get a txt file once its installed rogero3.55

so if you have got into fsm then it will exit

dont use a different lv2diag there are a few about and do different things not just enter fsm exit / fsm but also rsod fix / remarry bdvd. to name a few
also there will be some lv2diag's that have been messed about with floating about. you just cannot use random files like that.

anyway
try fully formatting the usb stick your using then put the exit fsm lv2diag from my files.

lets see if that works. but i have a bad feeling about this.
