Hi, went through the tutorial without a hitch until I reached the QA Flag. The ps3 acts completely normally when using the file, but when I go to check whether or not the flag worked bu using L1L2L3R1R2Down on the network settings, nothing happens. What should I do now?

My bad, you should mention the buttons all have to be pressed at once and not separated.

I removed the E3 flasher and put the ps3 in its original state (with original hd). PS3 starts, stay on, but no signal, no hdd activity and no usb activity.
I kinda gave up on the downgrading.
Unless somebody has new ideas?

Hello I'm having problems with my flasher. So I put the update.bin file but the ps3 is not reading anything. I turned it off and did it again and now my hard drive is not recognized by the ps3. Anyway. Can anybody help me please because I don't know what I'm doing wrong. Please reply ASAP. Thank you for any help

I need serious help with my flasher. First does anybody live near Massachusetts area and is able to do this downgrade. I WILL PAY. Second I don't know what the problem is but my ps3 won't recognize my hard drive at all using the esata station or without the esata station. SO PLEASE IF ANYONE CAN DO THE DOWNGRADE FOR ME I WILL APPRECIATE IT. Thank you once again for any help

I had a semi-bricked ps3 phat (see this thread). I flashed my NOR with my valid 4.31 OFW, after having patched it with rogero's ps3 nor auto patcher. Then followed the rest of the tutorial....I got into FSM, put step 1's Lv2diag.self and rogero 3.7 firmware as PS3UPDAT.PUP. Inserted the flash in the right-most socket...the ps3 doesn't shut down by itself and the green led keeps blinking. here is the log file:

Ok, I found out what the problem is. It's either the e3 flasher pcb or the e3 sata station. Bad quality china ****

Yes, I see you figured it out. The reason is the HDD needs to be attached. You can just remove the flasher and plug the HDD in the bay.

i have some problems with the tut to downgrade i follow the steps im blocked on chapter 2 step 16 i put my usb dongle minimus avr 32k put my power cable back, i push quickly power eject and always its start (please connect controller screen)
is this normal can go to the next step or not yet because step 19 the say Press POWER then EJECT in that order within a split second. and wait for the PS3 to shut off by itself.
this is not what i have
