It sounds like you are using the wrong Lv2diag.self. Use this Lv2diag.self to exit FSM.

Well worst thing happened and i bricked the ps3. I checked the dump myself against your guide examples all of them were the same as you stated it should be (apart from the very last one a bit different). now that its bricked, and i think that its due to Lv2 exit files that i put in unknowingly, what shall i do put the dump back in there? or any suggestions? and please have mercy

update: sorry i missed the timing of your reply, I have not flashed it yet. how can i double check it?

How sad, Well I followed your guide but i did not check the dump. and I only followed the youtube guy where it put the exiting lev2 file in part just to know which slot to put the usb in.

Do you think its YLOD? because I thought that the slim ps3 does not get that ylod?

OK now, I know its my mistake, I should have checked the dump, but what now is it worth checking it now? or how do i get the ps3 running again? please help me.

Update, I just checked youtube, I think this is bricking not rlod. cause it does not turn yellow then red then switching off. Beside it stays on for longer and the off without blinking.

its a different type of rlod / ylod
its usually a de-hash fail but for your situation its wrong lv2diag i suspect as you said you tried a different one you found elswhere
or its a bad usb stick that just need a full format to right any bad sectors on it.

either way it all depends on that dump you have.

if its a good dump then your fine. its recoverable

if its bad then it could take some messing about to get your ps3 back but without a good dump then the chances are reduced.

its 3:15 am for me
i dont want to try to check your dump at this time of night.
if i miss 1 thing then tell you to flash it then ... well lets not get into that.

just put it to one side and we can get on with it tomorrow.

playerkp420 if you want to jump in then i dont mind bud.

I don't understand what you've done but are you saying you haven't even flashed back a patched dump?

It's done after you have a valid dump. The valid dump is patched and gets wrote to the NOR. These steps are all done way before messing around with LV2diag.self files.

Of course you don't want to do this at the moment as the main thing right now should be making sure any dump you've already made is valid.


Edit: Read up on your earlier posts and saw you went into Factory/Service mode and installed rogero. I guess you use the E3_downgrade.bin method so disregard my post about the patched dump.

Black screen , No HD activity (No flickering light) this is my ps3 , I've downgrade 2 fat and 4 slim ps3 , i suppose my ps3 in (soft-brick) what can i do to get out of this
