Hi.
I have a problem with installing CFW 4.30 Rogero v2.03 on my PS3 Slim 320GB 4.30. Im installing through Recovery. Everything is done like in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cjh9OiqVpBM The problem is that it says Data is Corrupted (8002F2C5) My Pendrives are: 16GB Sony and 4GB Nano, both are after fresh format fat32. What is the problem? How to fix it? OUH and by the way I was trying with Rogero 4.30 v2.03 as well. |

Your problem is you don't have a custom firmware ready PS3... You need the right model (there are a lot of threads in the forum) and hardware, like e3-flasher or progskeet.

Is it an official 4.30fw on your 320gig ps3? because if so than sorry to say this wont work. I have tried the exact same thing as you did and didnt work for me either and then i found out in order to install a cfw on an ofw you need to be lower than 3.60

@manster
sorry mate, but I dont really know what are you talking about. (Im new in this stuff)
@sharyar so I will have to downgrade it to 3.55 OFW and than just install the Rogero 4.30? I remember that I was trying to downgrade it to 3.55 CFW (downloaded wrong link) and the ps3 showed me that i cant downgrade it for less than 3.72. Should I just downgrade it step by step? lol Any links or somethin? http://www.ps3hax.net/downloads.php?do=file&id=557 Will this be good enough? |

Also if it showed that you can't downgrade lower than 3.72 then you're out of luck. No Custom Firmware for you. You'll need an older model.

But wait... What about those Super Slim ones? I heard that you can put cfw (4.30 rogero) on them. And they are way younger than my PS3?
Is there any other way to install it on my PS3? |

1. No the new super slims come on the latest firmware or a firmware higher than 3.55 and i'm 110% sure of it. Dont buy one. 2. If you have the money to buy a new super slim i recommend buying an already jailbroken ps3 from ebay. search 3.55 ps3 on there and you'll find them. 3- to downgrade your current ps3 you're gonna need a downgrading thingy but seriously you DO NOT want any of that **** :L i'm just like you...with a ps3 on latest firmware wanting to downgrade but i have done a fair ammount of research so i the best advice i can give is buy an already jailbroken ps3 rather than a downgrade kit...here are a few reasons to why
1. then you would have two ps3s one on the latest firmware and psn access and the other one on cfw which means you can hack games online etc ![]() 2. If you buy a downgrade kit it will cost you around £110 to buy, and you will have to use it on your ps3 yourself! that includes opening your ps3 all the way to the motherboard and messing around with chips (NOT GOOD) and so that means you can break the ps3 and getting it fixed will cost more than 150....so in total 110+150=260 and for 260 you can easily buy an already jailbroke ps3 :D |
