says, once a thread is being created, a list of similar threads is shown but the lazy just ignore them.
i see what you are thinking with your idea e.g create new thread > remove "post thread" button with "search results" > takes you to full search results based on thread title. "does this answer your question?" > yes = thread not posted > no = thread posted this wouldnt stop them simply clicking "no" though and given past experiences with forced reading threads, many would skip it anyway as they seem to think their query is unique and different to the many others in exactly the same situation. i dont know how easy it would be to implement though and it wouldnt stop them spamming offtopic in other threads but its a good idea @'Bashy' but @Pirate is the only one who can change the system it would need to be contained to certain sections though i.e. help section mainly as many threads are not question based and forcing people to read full search results when they are posting general topics would be a pain

@hellsing9
it won't be an automated system, its just a different route to make a thread, japsander understands what I'm trying the get at.
@japsander that is correct and the final step would be for a mod to pass the thread for postage and the user won't be able to make other attempts until their pending thread is passed. Perhaps Pirate may find this useful as this is just an idea, a little more can be added to the idea to get rid of multiple same threads. |

On the other end of the scale I have looked online for answers to a question of a problem no one else seems to have exhibited on their CFW PS3. I can't ask here because it will either be ignored or scoffed at because I am not considered worthy to post or contribute in the future. If I was then I could give back 10x more at least, but this won't happen because of the nature of such forums!
Instead of name calling or running out newbs allow them to have some posts and ask questions and answer them, it uses less energy, anger and frustration generated; by simply answering and providing URLs to them rather than screaming at them! It says more about you than the annoying tendencies any n00b may cause. I always search for answers first using a search engine and then more than 10 forums. I generally find the same topics with not the correct answers or users simply ignoring the whole topic or part of it and if they do answer they provide answers that are vague or simply no use at all. We can also generalise about the types that hate newbs just as n00bs are generalised into these little boxes. OK, so it is funny to laugh at a n00b if you enjoy laughing at the expense of other rather than help them, maybe then you consume less energy and satisfy yourself that way. There really is no stupid question not even to one that has been answered a billion times before that n00b, they should read before they post, I agree! But you know what, all this talk against n00bs only targets the good n00bs not the ignorant ones that will always be n00bs in life! It only works to drive away future contributors hat would help you guys deal with the bad n00bs. IMHO, ofc.

![]() you dont need to create a new thread just ask in there and you will get a nudge in the right direction opening a thread asking an already asked question just gets ignored or hijacked untill its finaly closed or put in the drama / bin section. i like a few others do try to answer these posts but at the same time i report them with a recomeded action ie put in correct section put in drama merge with another thread |

@ezPeaSy3Queezy
I understand what you trying to say. I am a noob on this site I may have some know how about the PS3 and understand/dealt with issues, but you got to understand that this is a forum to help users. I admit that there are a lot of bashing the noobs, some may do it for fun some may do it out of annoyance. But we can't have a million threads created to ask one question, if I just joined this site and i run a search and I find a million thread I'm not going to know which one will hold the best information, some may not even have the answer therefore it would be best just to have one thread on one topic so you don't have to go on a wild goose hunt, if your problem cannot be found anywhere else by all means create a thread. So you may be one of the good ones doesn't meant that there aren't another 1000+ like you. This wasn't created to bash any noob. I just shared something that I would like to be implemented so that it would make things easy to find with having to open 5-8 pages to get answer. By the way this method doesn't discriminate against noobs so don't take things to heart
