Strange Issue

hi ....i have a old fat ps3 40gb and i've made ( with E3 linker ) a fast dualboot with ofw4.31 and cfw rogero 4.30 with mm 4.17 .
I turn on the ps3 and go on cfw (010000) ... I spend a bit of time to enjoy it. when i make a dualboot, first I turn off ps3 using the switch behind (only the switch but not the power cable ) and then esata station. exchange cfw hdd with ofw hdd (000000) first i turn on esata and then ps3 and....black screen with no ofw hdd activity (green led on ps3).
to solve I turn off the PS3 by holding down the key from the console...esata still on and ps3 in standby mode (red LED) .... after a few minutes reboot the ps3 and it works regularly on ofw 4.31. Sometimes happen to turn off and turn on several times, but then it all works. The same thing happens if I go from ofw to cfw ...
i've read many post but nothing with similar issue...what could it be?...
thanks in advance

With what it sounds like is happening, is that a partion of either your first or second harddrive may have got stuck in a booting lock which will partially corrupt the firmware files and won't recognize your equiptment. So it fails to load the needed file for start up. Similar to a corrupted OS on PC

-Like if helped.

i've made this...(from ofw to cfw for example )first i turn off the ps3 in normal mode and when it is in standby i use the switch to disconnect the power...then i turn off esata station. exchange the hdd and turn on first esata and then ps3 (switch+key consolle)....black screen ( no signal ) and none hdd activity but ps3 with green led...
so i turn off in normal mode the ps3 ( standby red led ) and then turn off esata, I pulled out and put back the hdd one time...turn on esata and then consolle ...my ps3 working properly.
The same thing if I do the dual boot from cfw to ofw....very strange!!
