First off let me say thanks for the very detailed guide on ps3 downgrading it is truly awesome and the best one i have seen.

I am new here and some what new to ps3 modding, i have recently found myself wanting to backup my games and would like to downgrade my firmware.But i found out my ps3 which is the cech-3001a is not down-gradable
So i bought one used for very cheap which is the first gen backwards compatible cecha ..but i had to repair it to get it working and still need to replace the laser in the bd drive but it is working nicely on 4.3 ...So i would like to downgrade it if possible, but i want to use the E3 ...Is there a clip for the E3 that i can use on the nand ? I want to use the dual boot on the E3 and it seems to me to be easier to use then the progseek...If there is no hope to use the E3 on this console i have then i will look for a used slim cech-2000 model...

Look for a 2000 then buddy progskeet is the way for NAND consoles

yeah it installed but when it got to 100 me ps3 turned off and wont turn back on it comes on for 5 to 10 secs then turns off then the red light keeps blinking till i press the power button do you think my ps3 has bricked or do you think its a ylod

yes
just use the samsung update (multi console update) thats in the "just downgrade" part of the E3 guide

the QA flag was not active when you did the update.

you need to solder tristate to gnd (E3 solder it to sbc) to halt the ps3
then depending on what guide you followed

E3 = do steps from the spoiler "installing the downgrade patch" (with flash fun switch up. do the rest of the switches as your shown in the guide)

progskeet & TEENSY++ = do the steps from "Flashing the ps3"

when you have flashed / installed the downgrade patch. then remove the tristate to gnd wire.
and carry on following the guide

when you get to the QA flag CHECK IT IS ACTIVATED
