i'm guessing you have a dump that you can flash again?
and from what i know if the tristate is soldered to ground the ps3 should stay on right?, unless it''s a hardware issue.

some users have confirmed taping a wire from sbe to tristate. I haven't ever needed to try (yet). It is always better to solder, but if he don't have a soldering iron could always try taping wire to sbe on e3 ribbon cable to tristate on ps3 mobo

its a de-hash fail
he just needs to flash the patch back
(if he had progskeet or Teensy++ then you re-dump, verify , re-patch , re-flash if you dont have the origional dump)

I'm putting it down to impatience mate, they must think you have nothing better to do with your time other than help out here. I don't think 24 hours is a long wait before people respond but many others must get impatient and panic.

i have put the steps you need to do in the guide thread
but by staying in the guide others who know can read back and see what has happened and then have a better idea of the problem

but anyway it just needs the tristate soldering to gnd point or to sbc on the clip (then have flash fun up) to halt the ps3 (it wont red light and turn off) then with your dump and the patch file on the micro sd card you do the installing patch file step again.
then unsolder the tristate or put flash fun switch back down

then follow the reast of the guide.
