What Does Sony Need To Do To Be Successful With Its Upcoming PS4?

FORBES: Here’s what I’d like to see;

Take Full Advantage of Gaikai Acquisition
Sony, you spent $380 million to buy Gaikai, don’t let it go to waste. Full integration with Gaikai (online streaming games, like OnLive) means:

Being able to play newly purchased games instantly via streaming, while the data downloads in the background for offline play.

Instant demos of all games.

Instant access to game library when logging on to any machine.

Ability to watch other users play live on any device, with social features, liking, commenting, sharing.

Allow recording of gameplay, this could be done via YouTube as well.

Entire PS1, PS2, and just maybe PS3 back catalog available (for a subscription?).

Exploit the ability to create previously unimaginable games utilizing the power of the Gaikai server farm. This is something that can really set Sony apart.

1. Don't be stupid and go over-the-top (for console standards) with hardware just for developers not to take advantage of that hardware like they did with the PS3.

2. No $599.99 US dollar price tag.

3. Do not use stupid architectures that make it hard for developers to make games for your system.

4. SCRAP PS Move and Six Axis.

5. Make the XMB more user-friendly.

6. Do not force firmware updates.

Etc...

You clearly don't use it. I take it it is still boxed under your bed and you only get it out at christmas time.

Thats all just on christmas day though yeah. Coz $ony kindly swapped my 60 gig console for another console of the same quality a matching 60 gig which lasted 15 month this time around. Only difference this time was I had to pay £120 for a replacement refurb console.Obviously that is where I drew the line with $ony customer support and sold my faulty console and done without until the price drop.
