How the f*ck is someone posting a tutorial of someone from another site using some software, mean that PS3HaX supports piracy ?

I don't know why you are on this site, i really don't.
Not on about the tutorial. I'm on about all the people on this thread asking for links to the software. Thought that was against PSHAX rules, yet all you do is flag me up.

I'm on here as I like what the HOMEBREW SCENE brings to my Modded PS3. Like ripping my bought original PS3 games to hard drive etc.

Alot homebrew is made with the illegal sony sdk.

Please GregoryRasputin delete all homebrew + other stuff.

90% of all devs use a pirated IDA bla bla bla bla.

Please GregoryRasputin delte 90% of all hacks. OMG what is left...
Nothing. SAD world.

I don't know who you are, but you want "hacks" gone? This site is PS3hax, it's in the title. Hacking doesn't require you to use pirated stuff. I don't know about homebrew, but you can obtain hacks with or without the target debugger. If it weren't for me only having the old 60GB PS3 with the PS2 hardware, I'd probably be using this stuff myself, but most firmwares are only tested on the PS3s that have nothing PS2 on them remaining other than the emulator they disabled and I will not risk a brick. If I had one of those I'd be using this to find codes because it's a lot easier than guessing and checking when you can just see what's happening in memory as you are playing games.

It's not really anything "new", this has been known for a long time, just never mentioned anywhere. Odds are it's not going to get much of anybody else on the code finding wagon though, I doubt I'll be seeing a new face on the CMP forums or elsewhere, making it mostly worthless and probably just something for the most annoying hackers online to infuriate more people online because they'll have more options of doing things faster and better.

Not to be rude, but you could practically reap the sarcasm in the post you are replying to.

There was no sarcasm in that. That or I've gotten so bad at it in the past few years I'm 100% unaware that I'm even doing it anymore. How's it rude? He wants everything downloadable here gone on a site that is for playstation hacking kind of things, firmwares, exploits, homebrew, help, and whatever other things on the list. It's like telling a site to be the opposite of itself. The tutorial on this is new, but people have known how to do this for a long time. Unless I see a new face around posting codes they've found for games, odds are I'm doubting any homebrew devs that haven't already been using this somehow are going to start using it. It's got the bad potential to open more windows for online gaming hackers though, making me think this info would have probably been better hidden in the dark. Lots of people on CFW playing online, and probably some new online hackers starting today with the announcement of this. Most people that do that are already good enough to know what to do without the use of this, but this has the potential to add a bunch of new ones online because being able to look at game memory while playing can make things infinitely easier to find for anybody that doesn't know how to do anything beyond memory scanning with things like emulators or special homebrew on console like there is for CWCheat on the PSP. Things can go from impossibly hard to find to taking minutes. Without some way of looking into memory the instant you want, you can't see pointers changing place in memory, so you'll usually resort to ASM coding. But ASM code affects each player the same way, so if you disable the function that reduces your health on an online deathmatch game, it might not affect you or anyone, or it might affect all connected players. This could make things far easier for online pests and make a lot more things possible for people that gave up easily. You could modify your exact health and ammo while playing without affecting others, editing packets, and just ruin entire games for many people.

There's no homebrew dev tag under my name, that or I don't know what it is or where because I'm assuming "Member" is the tag. I'm not a programmer, I don't know how to program very well, I just find codes for games by guessing and checking and looking at assembly code.

Alright. I only read the first three sentences of that wall of text.

Let me clear things up for you: User "marty370" made some point, about PS3Hax being against piracy, while, at the same time, indirectly -- for a lack of a better word -- promoting it, by allowing the linking to leaked firmwares/tools. User "KDSBest" picked up on that point, and, using sarcasm, asked one of the moderators/admins of the site (GregoryRasputin), to remove everything else that indirectly has to do with piracy. I.e. homebrew written with leaked (pirated) SDKs, and so on. By doing that, he meant to point out how, when you get right down to it, silly marty370's point was.

"Not to be rude", was a way of me announcing, that my pointing out of your failure to spot sarcasm, wasn't meant to offend you.

If you still do not get it, I shall get out the fingerpuppets, and we can try again.
