Installed 4.17.00 manually and updated to 4.17.05 via internet and still says it and its giving me graphical display problems so i dunno what to do ;/

Gotta upgrade your graphic card and instal latest update.

.. my ps3 is fine when not running multiman, no display problems and i do have latest update, still says multiman is incomplete

What kind of display problem ? If you are taling about the litle sparkling in the background that looks a bit like snow or stars, well it is the background and it is not a display issue.

No some icons wont show, like what button to press and sumtimes get white lines across parts of screen

I had that issue on one of my PS3's.

Just install 4.14.00 full and then update it too latest and it should be fine.

When you haven't updated in a while with the changes made its best too install a full version.
