I Try to use ps2 games on a disk and it said u need to update your ps2 system it said can anyone help me on the ps2 classic i own many ps2 games

Just a little tip for those on REBUG 4.21 or 4.30 versions:

To install REBUG toolbox after updating to a REBUG CFW, scroll to package manager ->install package files->PS3 Hard Disk->Rebug toolbox.pkg.

My preferred REBUG toolbox setup:
System mode=REBUG
XMB operation mode=DEBUG
Debug menu type=CEX QA

MultiMan=v. 04.17.05.

If you watch DVDs like I do, you will want to turn on DVD upscaler via the "video settings" in the settings menu on XMB. Take note that "Video settings" will not be available in XMB settings unless your set up is this:

System mode: REBUG
XMB operation mode: RETAIL
Debug menu type: CEX QA

Take note that the Cex QA menu type is unavailable in this mode (usually found below network settings) After adjusting the video settings to your preference, you may revert back to my preferred REBUG toolbox setup (your video settings adjustments will remain) and the Cex Debug menu type will be available again. So u can enable WMA, ATRAC etc...

To members who remain faithful to Kmeaw 3.55 CFW...have no fear, there is no difference in stability and you can always go back using the REBUG 9.99 Downgrader (personaly tried and confirmed)

What's the deal with that singstar icon? I went from 4.21.1 REX to 4.30.1 with no problems as well, but on the secondary user account that darn singstar icon poped up below app_home... weird.

it worked with reactpsn 2.23/rebug 4.21.2 to activate a ps2 classic, but after the reboot when it tells u the system didn't shutdown correctly, normally u press "O" to exit out, but the PS3 needs restore/rebuilding each time after running reactpsn from "aa" account, then again the activate worked/react account updated, the required "rebuild" isn't a good thing tho! maybe best to use "rap2rif"

Just a heads up

Just updated to REBUG_4.30.1 from REBUG_4.21.1_REX through the XMB, all went smoothly. PS3 rebooted and i now have the Singstar Icon.... doesn't really bother me.., but just thought i would let you know.

PS3 has never been downgraded, purchased with OFW 3.55, installed Kmeaw, then around 2nd November, Q/A'ed and then installed REBUG_4.21.1_REX. Never been on Rogero firmwares.

Its normal for singstar in Europe and a few other countries. Not a bug just so called free gift from sony, appears once you log into psn.

There is an replacement from deank that changes it to install app but do you really want three installs on the game column?

But when i opened multiman (4.17.00) , i choose a game and the console totally crash before open the xmb. Totally crash is totally off, the red standby led went off!!!
