I shall give this a try when it's out but surely as has been discussed prior, they in theory could easily not remove the one of the very features that was the whole point of this dongle in the first place!

I also agree with the PS2 classics thing. I thought these guys would be on that like flies on sh*t but it doesn't look to be the case even though that would clearly increase their sales.

Oh well, like most people who bought this thing I have a BC PS3 so either way I don't give a crap just as long as they don't remove the features for BC consoles which would result in GAYopa's slow, horrible death.

I have to say though their support for this dongle has been amazing, one of the best purchases I have ever made and until this does in fact become free for every end user, it was £25 well spent...but guys, if you're now removing features and not really adding anything in it's place then let it go, you've made your money.

They are in bizniss because they have what people want, or wanted.

I think people are overexaggerating here.

First off, PS2 support was added long after the dongle's initial release, that was not the selling point at the time, and considering the amount of games that ran on softemu, it was never the selling point at all.

Secondly, what was removed was PS2 support on non-BC systems, which could only run a handful of games in the first place.
PS2 support on BC systems is still there.

Also, as I mentioned before, it's likely they'll start working on the PS2 emulator that actually works, ps2_netemu.self, though that might take some time. Their time is better spent working on that than re-implementing the softemu.

Lastly, unlike Sony, Cobra lets you downgrade.

They use a different emulator. Whether it's all round better or somehow optimised for the games that they support is another matter. When you're downloading the game then they can slip in different software than what was on the original disc.

It needs CFW and 3k is out of luck (for CFW)
