did you try to use the 4.25to3.55.PUP downgrader by rogero?
if the installation works (well) you'd be on a hybrid cfw 3.55-4.25(or 4.30 idk)

then install toggle_qa and start it... the ps3 shall restart with 3 beeps
that programm allows you (when your on cfw) to install any fw down to the lowest ofw you ever had... to make sure you have QA_flag enabled go to network settings and press the following combo -> R1 R2 R3 L1 L2 dpad_down
3 new settings should be shown in network settings

after QA_flag is enabled download rogeros cfw 3.55 v3.7 and update to it via recovery menu... although it will say put fw-data for a 4.40+ fw it should install the cfw 3.55

once youre on that you can update to rogero 4.30 v2.03 again

just tryed 4.25to3.55.PUP data is corruped is there any word on a 4.31 downgrade without flash
