Because these questions are asked on a daily basis, so instead of letting it annoy us we chose to make some kind of amusement from it. Kinda light hearted humour. Not to harsh IMO.

Fact of the matter is Paul if we could help these people we most definitely would, but they know the answers before they ask, thinking we can pull some magic answers out of the hat. Last edited by donkey-punch; 01-05-2013 at 05:09 PM. |

Ok. If you want to have fun with this thread, then be my guest. I really don't care. But nobody really answered any of my uncertainties.
This thread was ment to start a content rich discussion about what is stopping the scene from hacking new consoles. But well, instead you (almost all) decided to make fun of it. Can't you see the irony in this? PS3 FULLY SECURED -> Jailbreaked... PS3 FULLY OPEN -> Unjailbreakable? |

I undestand we can't get the new private keys. This was clear since the release of the new 3xxx consoles which updated the bootloader. But that doesn't stop somebody on trying to find an exploit. I mean, when the PS3 was first jailbreaked, we didn't have the keys!! not even the public ones!! The PSJailbreak team did it via a stack overflow if I remember correctly. Then it was fail0verflow that discovered the random fail and then we got the private keys. So... what I'm trying to say here is... if the PS3 fw is fully open (since the leak of lv0) why has nobody tried to find a new exploit. It doesn't matter if we are on 4.30 or 5.43, we will still have full access to it, because older consoles use the same firmware as the new ones (the only difference is the lv0.2 which is just a header if I undestand correctly). So... don't come here saying 3.60+ is imposible etc etc etc. Because when 3.41 was hacked we didn't have the private keys. And it got hacked anyway. I don't care about a new CFW. Because I know it is not possible. But a new exploit *could* be possible. |
