If QA toggle is showing the extra menu then you are Quality Assurance flagged. Don't understand how ofw isn't installing though. It should.

BTW .... i just tried to install Rogero CFW 4.30 v2.05 and it has the same problem????!!!!

So it is not picking up the external media you are using! try installing a pkg from the same external media and see if it is recognised please

Are you really still on Rogero 3.55 v3.7? That one is spoofed and will show 4.21 in the system info but the best way to be sure is check you currently have *Install Package File on your XMB?

dont goto 4.20cfw yet
de-hash first

check the nane of the update is PS3UPDAT.PUP
then copy it from the PS3 / UPDATE folder and put it in the root of your usb stick

now try

(remember thats copy it not cut it)

Yes, I just installed qa toggle.pkg from the same stick I have around 6 of them and I tried several ones that are 100% functional

Yes I am on rogero 3.55 v3.7 but it is spoofed to 4.25, (in recovery it asks me to insert a media containing update of ver 3.55 or later)

If I understood you correctly then my file structure will be
USB:
PS3/UPDATE/PS3UPDAT.PUP
PS3UPDAT.PUP

I just tried that but unfortunately its not working .... this console is killing me

I want to add this:
- When I tried to use ps3verchk.pup before I downgrade the console it did not run, but the owner of the console told me that it was running a CFW 3.55 and was accidentally updated to OFW 4.25

You could of just installed Rogero 4.30, instead of going to Rogero v3.7, when you did the FSM downgrade.

Make sure qa flag is toggled on and install OFW 3.55 with Condor Updater.

I went to 3.55 v3.7 according to your tutorial and ps3devwiki.. I didn't really understand why ... but I thought this is the safest method.

Anyway when I tried to update using Condor updater after rechecking that qa_toggle is ok (by using btn. combination) I got this message:

"the system software cannot be run correctly. Press the PS button to try to restart the system.

If the system cannot be restarted, you must re install the system software.

Connect storage media ..... etc "

Will formatting the HDD do anything ? any other possible fixes?

I already had your files... as I also read your amazing guide ... so I copied the files. but still it didn't work

I just need it to run CFW 4.3

Can I install it now through FSM ... in the same way I installed Rogero v3.7 when I was downgrading ?
