Again $ont AGAIN

$ony will probably not use the full force of the patent until later after it has established some sells and has a strong share of the Next Gen Consoles just like it did with Other OS on PS3 after a while they say it was a Security Issue.
Thats why i will No Longer Support Any $ony product yes alot of u might say its a extreme but i see this kinda stuff as a wake up call
microsoft loves to monopolize things with direct X ect ect.
$ony is no were any different.

While not a fan of what Sony is doing I am even more of a hater when it comes to Lamestop and the likes. They offer $20 max for a game and turn around and sell it for $50+, they didn't "earn" any profit nor help develop the game. If their pricing system was fair, which none are I wouldn't be against used game sales but for years I myself have boycotted used game stores for many many years.

GameStop is a scourge to gaming anyway IMO.

A conversation overheard at the local gamestop.

Nerd ~ Hi, my mom just bought this game for me last week and, well, Im already bored with it and want to trade it in for store credit.

Clerk ~ Hmmmm, ok, well, let me scan it and see what the computer says. Well, your in luck were paying top dollar for that game this week. 16 dollars if you take store credit and 9 dollars if you want cash.

Nerd ~ What? My Mom just bought it last week for 60 dollars. You have it on the shelf for 60 dollars.

Clerk ~ That's for a new game

Nerd ~ You also sale it used for 49.99

Clerk ~ Yes

Nerd ~ But you are only willing to give me 16 dollars for it?

Clerk ~ Yes, assuming you use the 16 for store credit otherwise its 9 dollars cash with a 2 dollar transaction fee.

Nerd ~ Transaction fee?????

Clerk ~ Its pretty standard in the industry

This is when I left.............I mean, the nerd left

The idea isn't about just how this affects Gamestop. When I was a kid I used to beat a game and swap them with friends. As a collector today, I still buy games off Craigslist and ebay, as well as garage sales, thrift shops, and friends. This obviously is about $ony trying to control every aspect of your gaming life. They started by saying they own your PS3 and now they are trying to tell you what you can do with games they didn't even develop.

This is also why I have been an opponent to online gaming for a long time now. Not the ability to play games online, but the requirements thereof. What started as a cool feature has become a money sucking near requirement.

We've long covered and discussed $ony's murky past. They've made millions from enabling piracy with their blank cassette tapes, CD-R's, and DVD-R's. Almost every feature of every system they've put on the market was stolen from somebody elses innovation. They're the master thieves and now they're going on a crusade against what got them in the game. This is why I've never been a $ony supporter. F'k $ony.

This is news that everybody should post on their facebook walls to make sure that all consumers know about this and not just sceners or people who follow the stock market.

I can't imagine anything worse for businesses and single parents and those on a lesser income. $ony you bunch of retarded inconsiderate animals. I would rather go over to microsoft and abandon $ony altogether after buying every single one of their consoles since ps1. BOO! HISS!
Hold your donkeys (pun intended), Online Pass doesn't block you of doing anything, other than the online features, other than the online features you're good to go.

For people that only play offline, they have absolutely no reason to complain or want it, anyway.

You might not be one, but they exist.

I don't agree that Sony made their money out of enabling piracy. Both Microsoft and Sony only make money when you buy games. Nintendo have been the only company to make money on hardware sales for years.
I did not say that fanboys don't exist.
On PC gaming community is full of them because have more *options* or companies to choose or different products.

I only stated im not that kind of guy hence if i purchase a product i will not defend it because is cool or is good for me.
It's only a product that i just purchased to use it nothing more.

Believe me when i say that i spot more fanboys than spambots on certain threads and they are most of the times the source of a problem and the reason why some *educated* thread goes downhill in less than 5 minutes.

What?! Developers and console manufacturers are against something that amounts to as much as piracy, only that in this case it also lines the pockets of a third entity?! Heavens! Whoda thunked.

Thank ****holes like Gamestop for this. They go so far in biting the hand that feeds them, as to actually ask if you wouldn't rather buy a used version, if you bring a brand new one to the counter to buy it.

P.S. If you think that Micro "please pay for p2p gaming while we cover your dashboard in ads" Soft won't follow suite eventually -- especially if Sony does it, and it works out -- you are rather mistaken. If Sony does implement it, and it's taken favorably by the idiot consumers, I can guarantee you, that the Sony console will be the king of exclusives, as developers will love the company that cares to make them as much money as possible the most.

I haven't bought a game used in over two years. I am not phased by this in the slightest.
