Btw mate you need to buy if you wanna jailbreak your PS3 older fat or older slim model.

List of fat models that can be downgraded are: CECHH up to CECHQ, fat models from CECHA up to CECHG are NAND models and you need progskit (not recommanded for someone like you)

List of slim models: all slim models up to data code 1A (1A sometimes can be downgraded but 50/50) so any newer than 1A and 1A cant. So try to buy some older slim but check first data code.

Try if you can trade your PS3 slim for some other PS3 slim that can be downgraded and buy E3 flasher for 50-80$ you can buy used and downgrade and JB your console or just pay to someone to do it for you.

Thats what I can tell you.

All date code 1A can be jailbroken now. It is now the 1B that is sometimes.
As long as it is not metldr 2, you can go directly to 4.30CFW with a hardware flasher.

I think it won't work if you are on OFW 4.31. But will if OFW 4.30 or lower.

Most cech-25xx are jailbreakable. Only one third with date code 1B can't, and any 1C can't either.

Thats good to know, since you dump your bios with E3 and he is good in worst case if you brick you can recover back with good dump. Nice work.
