Hi guys

Quick question. I downgraded my ps3 from 4.11 to 3.55. And was messing with changing hdd. And I managed to update it to ofw 4.30

Can I use my old dump and then reflash it with flashfun straight away or do i have to downgrade it all over again? Or can i use the unbrick method in the other topics

What is your model #? If it is one of the older phats, that has the usb ports on the bt module, make sure to plug that ribbon cable back in.

It could also be you need to program your dongle with the correct hex file. I'm not sure exactly how to do that. But Google should be able to tell you. I use my PSP for that part.

You can flash your 3.55 dump. Then boot to recovery menu, and choose option 6. and install CFW.
If you left Qa flag toggled on like I suggested in the guide. Then you can install any CFW. If you did not leave it on, then you can only install Rogero v3.7 or Rogero 4.30 v2.03. It would have to be a CFW without the syscon checks.

I only have my patched dump from 4.11. I didn't take a 3.55 dump. Only got that dump via multiman when I was on cfw 3.55. If I reflash my patched dump on 4.11 can I redo , from chapter 2. the whole downgrade process. Or can I reflash by multiman 3.55 dump.

To flash your multMAN dump, you need to byte reverse it with flowrebuilder. Then do what I said in my last post.

But it might be easier to just follow the guide from Chapter 2, Part 1, step 8.

If you are going to be installing Rogero 4.30 v2.05 CFW, you can use that instead of Rogero v3.7 like it says in the guide. Then you don't have to do any of Chapter 2, Part 2 or Part 3.

I've got an Error at chapter 1, part 4,´5, and 6. After i put in the sd card with update.bin, and started my ps3, all blue led's are glowing. after i changed the switches, reset it, and pressed start, the 2nd, the 5th and the 6th blue led's are blinking. i've shut down my ps3 and put the sd into my pc. there is a log-file on the sd, with the following error:

start logging...
backup PS3 BIOS.
fail to initialize PS3 BIOS.

I didn't have started the downgrade process (as you said), because i dont have multiple valid backups.

So can some1 help me to fix this problem?

This has been gone over many times. Your clip is not on good enough.

My ps3 doesn't turn off?!?! I have the Dev board in the right USB slot, and I quickly press power eject. It just brings up the Connect a controller screen.

I have a CECHL fat I was reading up and noticed someone else had this problem, but I did'nt understand what you ment when you said

Whats a bt module? I only have the 2 USB ports, and I don't have any ribbon cable, but the bluray drive one.

The e3 clip suit is only an extra clip and the e3 linker. You need the e3 flasher. You don't need to get the limited edition that comes with the esata station. You can get the e3 flasher downgrader, and when the guide says to boot to the xmb, you boot to the cannot find hard drive screen. Then uninstall the flasher and put your PS3 back together when you get to the part where you see the "connect controller screen".

Hi experts. The current firmware in my 120gb slim console is 3.60. My question is will i have to upgrade the firmware to something or can i proceed with 3.60 itself?
