an Idea for dump checking automation

I'm wondering why wouldn't someone create a good NOR dumb checker as checking the dump seems to be a simple algorithm that can be put into a simple enough program that asks for the PS3 model, then checks the values at those specific offsets. I would do it, but my skills are less than moderate and are in JAVA. what do you think?

I would love something like that. I wish I had the knowledge to make one.

I have found BwE NOR Statistics application. But that only checks the statistics of the dump. Would be cool to have one like that, but checks everything for you.

Yeah it would be great. BwE is good, but doesn't really serve the purpose since you're gonna end up byte reversing and using something like HxD to check it, which also has statistical analysis

i know of 2 ppl creating there own tool to do checks. they may be partial or full.
either will be really helpfull

the problem is keeping them upto date when new firmware comes out from and end user point of view and i'm sure there are lots of problems the developers of each program has come across to ensure it doesnt validate a bad dump.

as both ppl have full time jobs neither has had time to finnish them yet but when one of them does it will be fantastic to use

Yeah I know (b3rf ) but it's not fully automated as you'd still end up having to byte reverse and open it in a Hex editor to check it manually

You Know (Bte3rf )
will, i think even with this tool opening the Hex editor will stay a necessity.
