Im sorry to say it looks like your ps3 has had its time as its a 60gb. I would even go so far as to say that anyone that has a working 60gb model still is lucky. They all had big manufacturing faults that lead to things such as RSOD which is what yours is sounding like

i still have a working 60GB sort of, it had 2 ylods, and i only turn it on now and then to test things.

@Punky , it's probably hardware, get it reballed and you are good to go again.

My current cfw ps3 is a 60gb and so is the cfw ps3 I gave my dad. I installed potentiometers to control fan speed though as both I repaired from YLOD. Work a dream now.

@Mr.Dutch @seanbomb1
You are two lucky mammals. 60gb models are very far between. I would probably look at buying one second hand if there was some sort of guarantee that it wouldnt RSOD on me within a month.

@Punky If you decide to reball look into putting a fan controller in as well. Those 60gbs overheat and thats what causes some of the problems

Add me to the list of 60gb owners, might have been terrible when it comes to failure rates but it definitely looked good.

I have a 60gig ps3 without any modifications and YLODs and it works very well. The fan also never goes loud.
