Kmeaw was my first fw back when I acquired my ps3 in 2011... used it for pretty much a year, it's definately the most solid of all 3.55 fws, had some fun with DEX when it leaked later on, then all the hastle about 4.21 CEX came up and I ended up on Rogero 4.30 v2.03... used it for a month then decided to try out PSN since it's been avaiable and all, made the mistake of making my first account registered in a country that does not have acess to Playstation Store and needed to create a new user to be able to use the new account, that's when REBUG 4.21.1 had just been released. I installed the little REX beauty and it hit me... it looked just like Kmeaw on steroids, seriously, Rogero doesn't even get close, it's slower and glitchier than REBUG, crashes way more often... the v2.03 at least. I'm on REBUG 4.30.1 now and believe me, the features people claim useless or unnecessary will come in hand eventually. Fake Save Data Owner spared me quite a headache! So DEFAULTNB, if that Kmeaw feel means anything to you... there's only one firmware above 3.55 to go to.

Lol. Going to give rogero a try first, if its too limited: I'll switch up to rebug.

Go to REBUG Toolbox or if you haven't installed it yet go to Package Manager, Install PKG from HDD and the Toolbox pkg will be there.
Once you've opened the Toolbox there will be an option near/below XMB Mode to select the Debug Menu, CEX/QA and DEBUG are the options, choose DEBUG, close the Toolbox then go the the DEBUG menu on XMB and scroll down til you find the Fake Save Data Owner option. Turn it on and enjoy.

I'm was about to upgrade to this I'm on 4.21.1 at the mo
I went to qa toggle and got a 80010017 error
The button config at network settings won't show up (just debug settings)
I renamed the pup to update put in ps3/update folder
But won't go any further as I can't confirm qa toggle is working other wise am I doing every thing else write
Help me anyone ?

That's because qa toggle doesn't work on 3.56+ slimbo

If you really want qa toggle, you need to go back to 3.55

Also if you use the rebug toolbox, you won't need to use the buttoncombo, all you need to do is set the QAtoggle to enabled in the rebug toolbox..

This is what i will do im on rebug 4.21.1 at the mo
1 rename pup to update.pup & put it in a folder ps3/update
2 put the folder on my ext harddrive and plug into the ps3
3 goto system update 0n xbm
4 select the update and install it
is this the correct way to go about installing rebug 4.30 std
have i missed anything out ? or is something wrong ?
