I have the 60GB (model CECHA01) PS3, Current Firmware is 4.30
I have never done a jailbreak before and i dont know how. Can anyone help me downgrade my firmware to 3.55 or lower and then jailbreak my system. Thanks

so @aris619 welcome to the ps-scene and to the community

to play downloaded games you need homebrews
these are mini programms like apps on a smartphone
you can't install them on the ps3 if you didn't jb them
ofw = original firmware cfw = custom firmware
when you are on a cfw not ofw you are able to install these "apps"
to got on a cfw no matter which version the cfw has you have to be ofw 3.55 or lower
you already told that you are on ofw 4.30
that are bad news you need a hardware flasher/downgrade service to get back to ofw 3.55

whenever you are on ofw 3.55 you are able to install any cfw
and when you are on a cfw you are able to install homebrews like backup managers which can load games from the HDD
