That was very helpful, and as of know i found out that my ps3 model is 60GB (model CECHA01). OFW 4.30

Does anyone know how to downgrade from 4.30 to 3.55 or less. Thanks

I went through that link and it required a special chip to downgrade. Is there any other way i can downgrade without purchasing anything?

Lots of tutorials, but you still need the hardware.

No software fix for it.

yes the link i gave u .
there is no other way than with out a hardware flasher or paying someone to do it , it will cost u one way or another .

If you done by your self: you need min 90 USD to downgrade, and you may bust it.

If someone else: it will cost around 50 -60 US
make your choice

Hi,

PS3 can only be jailbroken on 3.55 or lower.

If you're higher you cannot jailbreak it however, there is 2 way to downgrade back to 3.55 if your console is compatible.

1) Using E3 Flasher, No solder required
2) Progskeet : More stable, cons : 52 soldering required on PS3 motherboard

If you wish to jailbreak the PS3, you will also need a Jailbreak dongle, I have PS3Key and it works good and is cheap.

PS: Always make sure to not get clones!

These people above are saying that i need the chip to flash and now you are saying that i can do it with E3, what is the difference?
