yesterday i purchased e3 flasher, i followed all the advice but my ps3 only boots for 3 second and turns off with not light blinking , i removed the old thermal paste and applied new one but same result ... by the way my clip is still attached to the motherboard should i remove it and test if ps3 turns on because iam afraid the clip might get damaged by removing it ..

Tell us did you manage to update E3 flasher, make dump, go to downgrade procces?

i followed the ultimate noob guide from ps3hax i could flash it in the beginning, but every time i tried to get dump, it wouldnt just do it , the fan would spin as fast as it could and then shutdown .. i did repeat this for a while until the system wouldn't even bootup and just shutoff in 3 sec no xmb no nathing ..i have searched alot and alot of people are saying it could be the psu failure .. but the fan test still works which is like 10 second .. i can eject disks in fan test mode but not in normal mode

2502b i cant take photos now ill try to get some tomorrow but... i changed the thermal paste do u think the thermal sensor is stuffed up cause even when i leave it off for hours and when i try to turn on it still wont boot past 3 second

for the fan test the syscon probably won't power the cpu and stuff like that on.
the ps3 shuts down without any lights?

i'm guessing there is a short somewhere on the board for whatever reason and if the syscon gives power to that section the ps3 shuts down.

it could be that there is a short protection in the psu and it shuts down immediately, and restores if the short problem is solved....

i don't know this for sure, but it looks like all 25xx models shut down without any light at all.
