Who the f*ck in the PS3 Scene cares about being fair ?
These ass hats with their unneeded devices ?

No, they care too much about making money and ripping off the young and vulnerable.

So why should we be fair towards them ?

The fact is, this device works on OFW, once you get your keys, but the same effect can be done via CFW, of course the only difference is you wont be on OFW.

I guess I am not as invested in this hobby as much as you are, to care that much. I can see that device for what it is, and what it sets out to do, and not for whence it came from.

I can't tell you why you should be fair, and I am definitely not here to change your mind. I simply stated my opinion on the matter. Then again, one could argue, that as an important personality on the website that is the "official hacking scene of the PS3", one should expect you to keep a minimum of objectivity on these matters. But maybe that's expected too much of a thing one does as a hobby. But other than that, I see no reason for why you should be. I spoke for myself, not anyone else.

Yes, that truly is a fact. But see, the whole point of the device is to not have to be on CFW. No waiting for Rogero, team Rebug, or any others to catch up with Sony's newest, useless, update, but instead right away being in a ready-to-go state. You and I find that absolutely useless. Especially since it can, and most likely will, be detected. Others may not.

P.S. "Ripping off the young and the vulnerable" made me think of:

can someone answer me this?

to connect an ODE you need your bluray key, so, if i have a ps3 on cfw and a super slim, take off the super slim drive, connect it on the 3.55 one and use the remarry bluray drive method, can i obtain the bluray key?

i don't think it will work. maybe on the older phat models when br logic board was mounted to the br drive. now on newer slim consoles the board is integrated into the mobo. so all you would be swapping is a laser and a few motors.

also the only reason i can see a use for this is to play backups and have psn without fear of being banned. with a possible $150 price tag u could go buy a second used ps3.

Any user interested enough will have to learn once for all what is *WAITING* because this product aims to the *i want a download LINK, NOW!!!* and they will fall for that so easy.

That's the main problem on this situation, most of this users don't know what waiting for something means and that's when **** happens.
We have another *DRM strategy* around but with an ODE label on it.

You know that carl, better than me.
If certain users don't grow patience enough, so beat it.
Like you said even if sony releases another useless OFW, we will have to wait for rogero/rebug/cobra (you name them).

Key to success is wait and see.
I will not fall for this, im watching this *evolve* from a safe distance.
Same as any user with some common sense.

A stupid vector logo versus a wild cold blooded beast.
One will take your money (Vector logo).
The other one your life.
