thank you.. so the problem could be that i didn't use these to press the fan block to the motherboard

yes thats enough
just make sure

1. the fan is plugged in

2. the heat pads are in place

3. the 2 spreaders (in your image) are attached (with card so not to short out the board)

I was wondering about this. My ps3 doesn't have a date code. It has a date it was manufactured NOT a date code though. (It's a 25001b with jtp-001 minfwcheck says3.40 manufacturing date: July 2010)

can someone pm me a link to downgrade services for cechgxx

i tried 4 downgrade services, each failed to reply to numerous pm's over the course of 3 weeks

manufacture date is also written instead of Date Code for early slims before 2011
