@baileyscream

Thanks again for the info.
One more question.
I think that i am going to buy a ps3 second hand.
But i do prefer the looks of the ps3 fat.

Is it stupid to get a ps3 fat (latest versions with 65nm cell and rsx) over a ps3 slim? And is there a big vhange the ps3 will break (ylod)? I remember that the first ps3 fat consoles had problems.
One of these consoles:
-CECHJxx
-CECHKxx
-CECHLxx
-CECHMxx
-CECHPxx
-CECHQxx

Oh and does the ps3 fat have 3D support?
Since it is only hdmi 1.3a

Hi everyone...
I found this tutorial for downgrading ps3 without any hardware flashers ->

http://ps3haxblogs.wordpress.com/201...3-55-released/

Is this real thing or i am too naive?

Those comments below article made me naive as they're all affirmative that this method works.

I answered you in PM already. Actually twice already. No need to spam PMs and the forum now too.

one-key downgrade = connect controller screen
FlowRebuilder patching & flashing = connect controller screen
Rogero's Nor Dump Patcher & flashing = connect controller screen

3 different methods to the same result. Pick 1 and go with it.

in the wiki you have all 6 switches down to flash the dump + patch (or a pre-patched dump) back to the ps3.

but as it says in this guide i couldnt get this to work but by having switch 6 up i could get it to flash.

i have found switch 6 up on every E3 i have used works.
i dont know about @playerkp420 's guide.
when i did mine i made a point of not reading his to prevent mine being a direct copy of his work. (i have looked since and liked it )

i did this with all guides on the net and used the wiki for reference when i wasnt to sure with something.

i have since found out that while using the dualboot update your supposed to flash back the patch with all switches down
then activate the dual boot by flashing with switch 6 up

dont ask me who told me this as i had a ton of messages back when i was doing the guide at the start and i had different ppl telling me stuff about the 3 different flashers i have covered.
plus info on a NAND spi flasher that i still havent got working as yet

ps

Thank you all for your precious help, i succeded in de-bricking my PS3 and restoring the original 4.30 nor backup

I still have a problem, if you help me i'll be grateful forever!
what i did
I installed CFW Ermac 4.30 v1.4, it worked fine but some days ago the hdd filesystem got damaged and ps3 asked me to auto-fix it, i sed yes but it failed so i used the "restore PS3 system" (format hdd and restore default settings) option of recovery menu.
problem
doing this put my ps3 in semi-brick (not the situation i was talking earlier, that's another one xD)
Now my hdd is no longer recognised and at every startup my ps3 asks to install 4.30 fw and to format the hdd. i tried every firmware (4.25 dg of bluedisk, 4.30 ermac\E3\rogero\rebug and even 4.30\4.31 ofw): all of them are accepted but the ps3 always hangs at 99% while formatting the hard drive
solutions that didn't work (i already tried all of these things)
1) apply e3_downgrade from this guide \ enter in fsm (until here i succeeded) \ installing the 3.55 via FSM
2) patching my dump with flowrebuilder following this guide \ enter in fsm (until here i succeeded) \ installing the 3.55 via FSM
3) patching the dump using rogero's PS3_Nor_Dump_Auto_Patcher_v0.01 \ enter in fsm (until here i succeeded) \ installing the 3.55 via FSM
4) Applying the "Patchv1 by Three Musketeers" and format the hdd (still fails)
Anytime i try to install 3.55 or any other PUP using the Lv2diag.self it fails generating a 0 byte log file, is it possible the reason is that none of my usb are compatible wit this file? i remember i already used one of them to install 3.55 OFW (on another ps3) when i bricked in DEX2CEX

Notes:
I'm sure my ps3 is in FSM as i tried launching preloader 3.1 to dump the nor and it worked perfectly
i tried 2 differents Lv2diag.self (these two) but none of them worked

i really don't know what to do! Please if you have ANY hints tell me, i'm desperate!
