Slim 120GB CECH 2004B - It was late last night, so i have not tried the RSOD fix. Will try it tonight after work. What are my other options of reflashing my old patched dump

You could reflash your original dump, then follow the guide again. The firmware on the hard drive won't match the firmware on the Nor, if you flash your original dump.
So if you want to start over, from when your console was booting properly:
Flash the original dump. (Hopefully it was validated?)
Enter the recovery menu.
Choose option 6. and install whatever it asks for or higher. I think you were on 3.56? I would install the latest OFW 4.31.
Your PS3 should boot normal now, but needs to be downgraded.
Follow the guide again. Make a new backup validate and patch, etc...

The RSOD is common with Samsung NORS.
Seems to appear mostly on consoles with Samsung NORS (CECHL**-CECH20**)
It may be easier to do the RSOD fix. Here is the FactoryServiceMode_Lv2diag_RSOD.self, Since the download in that guide I linked is dead.

I have never had much luck with the Lv2diag.self RSOD fix. It always says it is successful, but the red screen was still there.
I used the old way, that the wiki says not to use. And usually works for me.

Ive read the RSOD fix in wiki and it says if i use the .self file then my old dumps wont work if i want to use them again, so if i try that and it doesnt work, then there is no way i can use my old dumps or make new dumps. Am i correct in saying. I was on 4.11 and i have that original dump, and it was checked by the guys in the other forum and it was perfect. Can i install the notheros.pup from recovery menu since im on CFW 4.30 .03?

Now my next question is, Should i try and flash my old original 4.11 dump, since maybe the patched 4.11 probably gave me the error or should i try the RSOD fix. Thanks for all the help

Thanks for explaining a few things to me.

I am now waiting for E3 Flasher to arrive.

Hopefully I will not experience the red screen, as I have a CECH 2002B Model.

I did manage to downgrade my PS3 from 4.11 to 3.55, but was messing around with hard drives and then reinstalled it to 4.30 OFW, but now trying to downgrade it with my patched dump is causing RSOD problems. Will try and sort it out at home after work

I see, so you think jumping from one firmware to another (OFW & CFW) is what could have caused the red screen?

What I would try to do first is this:
  1. Install 4.25 to 3.55 downgrader PUP, from Recovery menu.
  2. Install Rogero v3.7, from Recovery menu.
If the red screen is gone skip to step 4.
  3. Now if you still have the red screen install NoOtherOS PUP, from Recovery Menu.
  4. Install and run toggle.qa.pkg. Check with the button combo that it is toggled on. I think your problem may be from not having Qa flag toggled on, and jumping around firmwares like you did, with a empty ros0 folder.
  5. Install OFW 3.55 from Recovery menu or Condor Updater.
  6. Red screen should be gone now.

If the red screen is still there enter FSM, and use the RSODfix Lv2diag.self v0.1.

Edit - I am assuming you are on Rogero 4.30 right now?

The REBUG 999 downgrader PUP instead.

Edit - Make sure you are renaming the PUP correctly, and the right file path:

USB root:PS3/UPDATE/PS3UPDATE.PUP
