Downgrading 4.31 OFW -> 3.55 CFW without extra hardware

I've been browsing and reading about jailbreaking and reading this forum. I currently don't have any money to buy an E3 flasher or anything else and I can't let anyone else do it (poor college student lol).

My question is: Does this mean I just shouldn't update my OFW and wait for someone to release a tutorial to downgrade to 3.55 without any extra hardware?

Thanks in advance.

But when I upgrade to let's say 4.43 or something like that, wouldn't I be missing out on the 4.31 downgrade?

Or is it that when they fix a working downgrade, it will be useable on every version?

I think you are hoping for something which will be a very long time coming. If your console is compatible with a hardware flasher I think you should lay off whatever luxurys you enjoy as a none tax paying free loading student and save up to pay somebody to downgrade for you as that works out cheaper than buying a flasher. Hope this helps

Thanks, guess I'll have to do what you say and lay off the luxuries. The price isn't that much though, luckily. Better than buying games, that's for sure.

You still need to buy games my friend. The whole point of cfw is to backup your legit owned games to preserve your discs. Or am I missing something here.

I thought I could just download them, put them on a usb storage device and play them on my PS3? You could be right though. I have only been researching about this all since 2 weeks whereas you have been since July 2012.

lol ,I am with you on that quote to the OP

I don't get why people would post so blunt of there bad intentions & set themselves up for flame. Makes the PS3 scene look bad & then gives the bad guys a reason to point fingers at all of us. We all know that corp scum love to point there dirty fingers..

Of course you can do that, but advertising what you are doing is just plain silly.
