E3 1001100 error

Hello guys,

I have this problem with my e3 flasher I just got my e3 flasher 2 days ago, when i connected it for the first time everything went kind of well, when i put the clip over the chip i heard it making a clicking sound and the e3 looked like it worked fine. I tried to make a backup off my ps3 bios and it did his job however when i put the file in Flowrebuilder it had an error with extracting it. After doing some research i've found out that i needed to reclip the e3 flasher so i did it. But when i tried to put it on again the clip wouldn't fit that well or atleast it didnt stay firmly over the chip, it also didn't make a clicking sound like it made earlier. I put some strong tape over the clip to make sure it would stay firmly over the clip but when i tried to make a backup of my bios again it didn't do it, i got the 1001100 error. I did some research on it and it meant that my clip wasn't connected right so i tried to reinstall it again but no succes. I've tried to put it on multiple times with different methods like putting a coin on the clip and then putting tape over it, cleaning the clips and the nor chip with alcohol, i even bought a new clip for the flasher but that doesn't even help. Is there maybe some other method for me to get it on right? These past 2 days i've reinstalled the thing like 10 times and i'm kinda losing hope =(. I hope someone can help me.

BTW: I have a Fat PS3 CECHH04, and my nor chip is a spansion one

you need nothing on the outside of the metal case. Try taping the clip without a penny on first and make sure you put a crease in one side of the tape first then pull down hard on the other side of the tape and make an identical crease. Then build it with foam or pennys and tape again. (make sure you have sanded the clip to avoid any resistors near the nor). These boards are a pain. Consistency will payy off if you are careull. Don't be ruthless and impatient with it.

I've stripped my console many times but finally got it going, i sand the clips sides and then used strong tape and then I put a plastic case the size of the clip onto it to apply the pressure

No blue lights means no connection between the clip and chip.

Why do we need 10 million threads of the same issue.

There is a "sticky" thread HERE on this error. Maybe reading through the whole thread and asking any questions there would be better.

Sorry if that sounds rude. But I have seen 20 threads in the last 2 days with the same question. This is a common problem for the noob, that is working on their first downgrade.
If you can't get the clip to work. Learn how to solder and solder the e3 linker.
